{"id":503,"date":"2009-10-26T12:04:04","date_gmt":"2009-10-26T20:04:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thezeal.com\/cooking\/?p=503"},"modified":"2009-10-26T12:04:04","modified_gmt":"2009-10-26T20:04:04","slug":"poricha-kozhambu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kaizen.ist\/cooking\/poricha-kozhambu\/","title":{"rendered":"Poricha Kozhambu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Veggies &#8211; 1 cup Brinjal, Avarakkai, potatoes (diced to 1\/2 inch pieces)<\/li>\n<li>Onions &#8211; 1 (medium) chopped<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes &#8211; 2 (small) chopped<\/li>\n<li>Garlic &#8211; 3 cloves (small) &#8211; chopped roughly<\/li>\n<li>Mustard seeds &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Urad dal &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Chilli powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Coriander powder &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Tamarind paste &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Oil &#8211; 3 tbsps<\/li>\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIn a pan, heat the oil, splutter mustard seeds. Add the urad dal, onions, garlic and curry leaves and saute for a while. Then, add?  the tomatoes and fry for a while. Then, add the chilli, coriander, turmeric powders, veggies and salt to the mix along with some water and allow the veggies to cook well. Then add the tamarind paste and allow to boil.?
