{"id":343,"date":"2009-10-24T04:12:49","date_gmt":"2009-10-24T12:12:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thezeal.com\/cooking\/?p=343"},"modified":"2009-10-24T04:12:49","modified_gmt":"2009-10-24T12:12:49","slug":"potato-with-fresh-green-peas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kaizen.ist\/cooking\/potato-with-fresh-green-peas\/","title":{"rendered":"Potato with Fresh Green Peas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Potatoes &#8211; 4<\/li>\n<li>Fresh Green peas &#8211; 1\/2 cup<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/4 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Chilli-coriander powder &#8211; 1.5 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Onions &#8211; 1 medium (diced)<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes &#8211; 1 small (diced)<\/li>\n<li>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 1\/2 tsp (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Mustard seeds &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Oil &#8211; 3 tbsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt &#8211; to taste<\/li>\n<li>Coriander leaves &#8211; 2 tsp (for garnish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nBoil the potatoes and peel the skin and cut into medium sized pieces and set aside.<\/p>\n<p>In a pan, heat oil, splutter mustard seeds, then add the onions and saute till golden brown. Then, add the ginger garlic paste and saute for a few minutes. Then, add the chilli-coriander, salt and turmeric powder and fry for a few minutes sprinkling little water. Then add in the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes are soft. Then, add in the fresh peas. Pour in a little water and allow to cook. When the peas are almost done, add in the boiled potatoes and mix well. Allow the masala to coat all the potato pieces well. Fry until almost all the water has been drained and oil starts to come out at the sides.
