{"id":17,"date":"2008-11-28T15:07:41","date_gmt":"2008-11-28T23:07:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thezeal.com\/cooking\/?p=17"},"modified":"2008-11-28T15:14:37","modified_gmt":"2008-11-28T23:14:37","slug":"spicy-chicken-fry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kaizen.ist\/cooking\/spicy-chicken-fry\/","title":{"rendered":"Spicy Chicken Fry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chicken &#8211; 1 &#8211; 1.5lb cut into medium sized pieces<\/li>\n<li>Onions &#8211; 2 big (sliced)<\/li>\n<li>Tomatoes &#8211; 1 big (sliced)<\/li>\n<li>Green Chillies &#8211; 2 or 3 (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Ginger garlic paste &#8211; 2 to 3 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Turmeric powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Chilli powder &#8211; 2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Black pepper powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Coriander powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Cumin seed powder &#8211; 1\/2 tsp (optional)<\/li>\n<li>Garam masala &#8211; 1 tsp<\/li>\n<li>Salt &#8211; to taste<\/li>\n<li>Oil<\/li>\n<li>Coriander leaves(Cilantro) and Curry leaves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Method:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pressure cook the chicken pieces adding a little turmeric, salt and water and keep aside. In a pan, heat oil and add the garam masala and onions. Saute the onions for a while. Then, add the ginger garlic paste and saute. Then, add the tomatoes, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin seed powder, black pepper powder, green chillies and salt. Fry this mixture for a while maybe adding a little bit of water. Add to this the coriander and curry leaves and mix. When the oil comes out on top, add the cooked chicken pieces and mix well to coat all the pieces with the masala. Fry until all the water drains out.
